I was born and raised in Hong Kong, a place where most people focus on work and material life and rarely have time to appreciate art and culture. Luckily I have a mentor who introduces me to photography when I was 10, since then photography has always been my passion.

In my earlier days I teaches darkroom techniques to fellow high school students and is a contributing writer to some photography magazines. I also seek reorganization through participating in international photo competitions and win a few recognitions.

Back then film is the only media. I started with a German make Werra 35mm camera which was hand down to me from my father. It is a interchangeable lens range finder camera with a Carl Zeiss standard lens. Being a fully manual camera, I have to learn all the basics on operating this fine piece of equipment and this help build the foundation of my knowhow in photography.

Soon I outgrow that camera, and started working with SLR and medium format. All these years I have used 35mm, 645, 6X6, 6X7 and even 4X5. I went through makes like Minolta, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Bronica, Mamiya, Hasselblad, Horseman and so on.

With the breakthrough in technology, I am now shooting pure digital. Unlike many photographers, the switch has been totally painless for me as I was a major in computing studied.
